Welbeck Takyi continued with his impressive scoring form for Tano Bofoakwa in their 3-1 truimph at home against Tamale City in the match day 25 of the Division One League on Wednesday.
The lethal forward after missing two games announced his presence with a goal and assist for The Hunters who conceded in the early stages of the game.
Despite enjoying the lion share of possession in the early stages of the game, the visitors capitalised on the first attempt at goal to open the score through Amin Amin who gave Tamale City the lead in the 11th minute from a volley.
With five minutes left in the first half, Takyi scored from the spot kick to level matters for the home team before Saaka Dauda doubled the advantage two minutes later when he connected beautifully to a Lawrence Arthur cross to score from close range.
After recess, Bofoakwa kept pressing and grabbed the third goal after Takyi set up Kwesi Sefah with a beautiful cross to head home.
The win sends Bofoakwa to summit of the table with 52 points after 25 matches.
The lanky forward has contributed to 18 goals in the ongoing campaign, scoring 13 and assisting 5 times in 21 games.
