Division One: Mighty Jets ‘flying jet’ Fredrick Akatu grabs 12th goal of the season in win over Kotoku Royals

Forward Fredrick Akatu continued with his splendid scoring form for Mighty Jets in their 3-0 truimph over Kotoku Royals in the Division One League Match Day 24 fixture at the Teshie MATS Park.

The victory on Saturday, ensured the home team rediscover their form after a humiliating 3-1 away defeat to league leaders Accra Lion on Match Day 23.

Top scorer Fredrick Akatu fetched the second goal for Mighty Jets in the second half after Saviour Asare fired the hosts into the lead on the 24th minute with a decent freekick metres away from the penalty box.

Midfielder Obed Wiredu notched home the third goal with a magnificent chip over Royals goalie Mustapha Mohammed in the dying minutes.

Akatu takes his tally to 12 goals in 22 games, also contributed to four goals for his side and has won the Man of the Match Award (MOTM) on four occasions.
