Solomon Mensah picks assist in Aswan SC 2-3 defeat to Al Masry

Ghanaian midfielder Solomon Mensah picked an assist in Aswan’s 2-3 defeat to Al Masry in the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday.

The former Bechem United skipper set up Aswan’s second goal through Mohammed Asama in the 54th minute to register his fifth of the campaign.

Al Masry took the lead through Omar Kamal in the first minute before Mohammed Gabar scored to give the home side the equaliser on the 36th minute.

Ahmed Gomaa restored the lead for the visitors in the 51st minute before Mohammed Osama drew level three minutes later through Mensah’s assist.

Nigerian forward Austin Amutu fired home the match winner in the 75th minute to seal victory for Al Masry.

The tireless defensive midfielder lasted 71st minute and made way for Haitham Mustafa.

Mensah has made 14 appearances for Aswan SC in the ongoing season.
