Umar Basit nets fourth of the campaign as Ankaraspor beat Akhisarspor in Turkey

Former Ghana U-20 forward Umar Abdulrahman Basit was on the scoresheet for Ankaraspor as they thrashed Akhisarspor 4-2 in the Turkish First League on Saturday afternoon.

The former New Edubiase forward gave the home team the lead as early in the 6th minute to register his fourth of the campaign before Nigerian forward Nsima Peter scored from a header to give the visitors the equaliser on the 24th minute.

Before the stroke of first half, Samed Kaya doubled the advantage for Ankaraspor with a decent solo effort to make it 2-1 at the break.

Six minutes into the second half, Marcus Pedersen scored from a spot kick to make it three after he was soiled in the penalty box.

Turkish midfielder Cihak Celik pulled one back for the visitors after the 73rd minute via spot kick to make it 2-3.

With three minutes to end proceedings, Pedersen fired home the fourth goal to register his brace.

Basit has made 20 appearances for Anakaraspor.
