Back us with prayers: Kudus tells Ghanaians as Black Stars face Bafana Bafana today

Ghana and Ajax FC midfielder Kudus Mohammed has called on Ghanaians to back the Black Stars with prayers as they take on the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in their penultimate Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Thursday, March 25, 2021.

The 20-year-old football star believes Ghanaians’ prayers and support will go a long way to help the team to secure qualification for the AFCON when the two sides meet on Thursday at the FNB Stadium in Soweto, Johannesburg.

The Ajax Amsterdam ace who is returning to the team for the first time since November 2019, spoke to ghanafa.org ahead of  the epic clash.

Ghana defeated South Africa 2-0 when the two teams met in the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium on November 14, 2019

Meanwhile, Ghana’s final Group C match against Sao Tome and Principe in the AFCON Qualifiers has been scheduled for Sunday, March 28.

The match will come off at the Accra Stadium at 4pm and it will be Ghana’s final qualifier for the main tournament which comes off in Cameroon in 2022.

Despite leading the Group C table with nine points with South Africa also having the same points, the Black Stars could be kicked out of the competition should they lose all their last two matches.

Sudan who currently are third on the log with six points could overtake the Black Stars and qualify for the tournament should they win all their last two matches.
