Ghanaian international Andre Ayew continued with his impressive scoring form for Swansea as his late spot kick saw Swansea City come from behind to beat Stoke City 2-1 at the Bet365 Stadium on Wednesday evening.
English forward Nick Powell’s 6th minute strike gave Stoke the lead, but the Swans responded well and levelled when Connor Roberts met Ryan Manning’s cross to score from close range in the 19th minute.
Ayew sealed all three points in the dying seconds of stoppage time, converting nervelessly from the spot to register his 11th of the campaign after Kyle Naughton was soiled in the penalty box.
The result leaves the Swans fourth in the table, one point behind the automatic promotion places.
Ayew has made 31 appearances for the Jacks in the ongoing season.
