Accra Great Olympics failed to make amends after the 1-2 defeat to Aduana Stars last weekend.
The ‘Dade’ boys recorded another defeat in a row picking up a 1-2 scoreline to Ashantigold SC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Match Day 8.
Olympics pressed for the opener in the early stages of the game only for their efforts to pay off when Gladson Awako with a superb turning fired home the opener with his left foot to give Olympics the lead on the 14th minute.
Olympics came close again through Micheal Yeboah who blasted wild from a free kick.
Amos Addai of Ashgold was flashed the yellow card after a late tackle on Philip Sackey on the 27th minute.
A swift interplay between Isaac Agyeman and Hans Kwofie saw Isaac blast wild the chance, a minute later Hans Kwofie failed to connect from Appiah McCarthy’s cross on the 32nd minute.
A decent cross from David Abagna was well met by Hans Kwofie but his header possed no threat for goalkeeper Saed Salifu who grabbed with ease.
Amos Addai strike with his right foot to give Ashgold a well deserved equaliser on the 45th minute to end the first half 1-1.
Ashgold brought on Yaw Annor for goal scorer Amos Addai a minute after recess.
Ashgold doubled their lead on the 47th minute through substitute Yaw Annor who fired from the edge of the box with his first touch.
David Abagna blasted from close range a pass from Hans Kwofie before Michel Otou saw his effort blocked by Samed Ibrahim to deny Olympics the equaliser on the 60th minute.
Ashgold brought on Kwadwo Amoako and Walid Neymar.
The home side came close through Mudashiru Manaf and Gladson Awako but efforts were wasted before Mudashiru Manaf made way for Hamza Zakaria on the 74th minute.
The last ten minutes saw chances created by both sides but Ashgold held on to snatch their first away win of the season.
