ACE Power Promotions and Box Office Promotions are set to stage the maiden post Covid-19 break promotion dubbed “Knock Out COVID-19 Fight Night” Scheduled for November 29 at the Bukom Boxing Arena, the event would attract some of the best boxers in the country to thrill the fans.
According to the organisers, the event would not be open to the general public except a few invited dignitaries in recognition of the COVID-19 protocols.
The launch of the promotion on Thursday was preceded by the unveiling of three boxers under ACE Promotions.
The newly signed on boxers were Holy Dorgbetor, Daniel Aduku and Emmanuel Baidoo – all super welterweight boxers.
Speaking at the launch, Corporate and Legal Affairs Director of the syndicate, Mr Kizito Akudago
said boxers and fans have been desperate for the return of boxing, adding that the upcoming event
would “quench their long thirst for boxing.”
He welcomed the new boxers to their stable and pledged to create platforms such as the upcoming event for the new boxers especially to show Ghanaians their talents and readiness to take Africa and
the world by storm.
Mr Akudago said ACE Promotions was aspiring to hit the top as the premier promotional outfit in
Ghana with focus on unearthing talents and turned them into world champions.
“ACE has identified boxing as a discipline they want to revive by giving these talents the platform,”
he stated.He also urged corporate bodies and the general public to take inter?est in the sport by supporting and promoting the game.
Deputy Manager of the headline sponsors, Agbeve Herbal Center, Dr Hafiz Abdulrahaman Agbeve
commended ACE Promotions for taking up the initiative to unearth talents and provide them with the platform to excel.
Bouts for the night include a super welterweight contest between Daniel Aduku and Sani Kubley and Holy Dorgbetor versus Billy Quaye in a six round contest.
Emmanuel Badioo will make his debut against Daniel Kotey in a super welterweight fight with Alfred Lamptey coming up against Edward Kambaasi in the same division.
In the middleweight division, Prince Oko Nartey will engage Prince Tetteh while at light heavy?weight, John Dugu faces Ahmed Abdullai.
Ishmael Gyan would lock horns with Yakubu Alidu in a heavyweight contest while a bantamweight contest would be fought between Amadu Seidu and Micheal Mayweather’Nelson.
Isaac Aryee will stage a return when he faces Kofi Ansah Raymond in another super welterweight contest.
