[GPL]: ‘I reprimanded Isaac Kwain for letting the team down’ – Paa Kwesi Fabin

Aduana Stars right back Isaac Kwain has received a backlash from his head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin in their match day 2 1-1 stalemate against King Faisal after he was sent off in the second half.

According to Paa Kwesi, he let the team down by attracting a needless red card which enabled King Faisal to crawl back into the game to draw parity.

Before his sending off, Aduana were in the driving seat following Yahaya Mohammed’s 43rd minute goal.

However, the former Ebusua Dwarfs and Karela United defender was given his marching orders on the 69th minute which gave the home side extra strength to pull draw level four minutes later.

“I reprimanded Isaac [Kwain] for letting the team down,” Paa Kwesi told reporters in a post-match conference.

“It was a red card offence.

‘He actually struck the guy down. When we went to the dressing room after the game, I reprimanded him for letting the team down.

“It was red card offence and the referee was right,” he said.

Aduana will play as host to Bechem United in a regional derby in their match day 3 encounter.
