Caleb Ekuban wins day for Trabzonspor with solitary strike

Ghanaian international Caleb Ekuban scored what proved to be match winner Trabzonspor in their 1-0 win over Büyükşehir Belediye Erzurumspor in the Turkish Süper Lig on Sunday.

Ekuban’s strike in the 23rd minute was enough to seal win for his side at the Senol Gunes Stadium.

Despite missing out a couple of games through injury, the 26-year-old forward returned from national duties with Ghana to record his first goal after four games.

Ekuban was fed with an assist from Turkish international Abdulkadir Omur who found him close to the box.

He made no mistake as he shot from close range.

After 9 games, 15th placed Trabzonspor have 9 points.
