[GPL MATCH PREVIEW]: Karela face-off with Allies at the newly refurbished CAM Park

On Sunday afternoon we will be in Aiyinase to face Karela United who will officially be handed an ultramodern AstroTurf facility constructed at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park. 

Returning to their favourite venue for this season’s campaign, Karela is coming into the game with a 2-2 draw against Ashanti Gold at the Len Clay Stadium at the back of their minds.

The ‘Capelli’ Boys are entering the game with a 0-0 stalemate with Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium which means this clash promises to be tough.

Goalkeeper Gideon Ahenkorah will miss the trip to Aiyinase due to illness.

Mohammed Zakari is still ruled out. He will miss the game after suffering a minor injury.

Taufiq Shaibu is not ready for his debut, he’s also out to injury.


We’ve met twice in the Ghana Premier League season and both results wouldn’t count – both seasons were truncated.

So officially, this encounter will be the first meeting between both sides in the league and the Capelli Boys are ready to make it a memorable one.
