Legon Cities new signing Elvis Opoku adjudged MOTM after 1-1 stalemate with Berekum Chelsea

Legon Cities new signing Elvis Opoku opened his debut account with the Man of the Match award following his side’s 1-1 draw with Berekum Chelsea on Match Day One of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

Stephen Amankona put the visitors ahead via spot kick on the 22nd after Kofi Owusu was fouled in the penalty box.

Before the stroke of first half, Jonah Attuquaye’s spot kick sent goalkeeper Sammy Agyei the wrong way to put Legon Cities level on the 34th minute.

However, Opoku who grabbed his first start of the campaign left no stone unturned as he was adjudged the MOTM following an impressive performance.

He sealed a last hour move from Aduana Stars and he lasted in his debut game for his side.

The midfielder received NASCO products after the game.
