Accra-based Hearts of Oak is set to announce the signing of their former attacking winger Patrick Razak ahead of the 2020/2021 Premier League season.
Media reports indicate that the diminutive midfielder has already penned a three-year deal with the Phobian fraternity after concluding talks with the club.
Razak has been in the country all this while and has been holding periodical training with Hearts after severing ties with his Guinean club Horoya AC after joining them in 2018.
He has been on trial training with the club since leaving Horoya – seeking to rejoin the Phobians ahead of the season.
However, sources claimed that Hearts has been dragging their feet despite head coach Nii Odoom giving the go-ahead to the management to tie him – having been impressed with his commitment and work attitude at training.
It has been revealed that Razak was spotted at Koforidua last week where their eternal rivals Asante Kotoko is currently camping ahead of the new season. An insider claim Kotoko’s head coach Maxwell Konadu is a huge admirer of the winger and was looking to pull a last-minute shocker.
And this is why the Phobians have moved in quickly to tie him down on a three-year deal.
He will become the sixth signing after Nuru Sulley, Abednego Tetteh, Isaac Mensah, Eric Dizan and Mamali Lawali have all join the club on a permanent basis.
