‘Full of Praise’ Thomas Teye Partey adjudged MOTM in Arsenal’s comeback win over Rapid Wien in Europa League

Arsenal new boy Thomas Teye Partey was named the Man of the Match after making his full debut for Arsenal in their slim away win over Austrian side SK Rapid Wien in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.

The Gunners staged a comeback at the Allianz Stadion to pick up a 2-1 victory in their Group B opener with Partey bossing the midfield.

Greek forward Taxiarchis Fountas put the hosts ahead six minutes after recess following a goalless draw in the first half.

Arsenal notched the leveller through centre back David Luiz on the 70th minute to bring the visitors into the game.

Four minutes later, substitute Pierre Emerrick Aubameyang scored the match winner to make it 2-1 with 16 minutes to full time.

Party who grabbed his second appearance for Arsenal lasted the entire duration and pulled an outstanding performance.

He completed 83 passes in 102 touches, won 10/13 duels with 5 tackles and was adjudged the MOTM.
