Joseph Paintsil nets brace in Ankaragücü’s away defeat to Rizespor

Ghana forward Joseph Paintsil opened his MKE Ankaragücü account with a brace as his side suffered a 3-5 defeat to Rizespor in the Turkish SuperLig on Saturday.

Six minute into the first half, Paintsil notched the opener and doubled the lead ten minutes later at the Caykur Didi Stadium.

The hosts pulled one back through Fernando Santos in the 19th minute.

With a minute to end the first half, Torgeir Boerven made it four for the visitors before Fernando Boldrin reduced the lead to make it 3-1 at the end of first half.

Paintsil made way for Zvonimir Salija after first half.

Rizespor registered three goals in the second half kind courtesy French international Loic Remy who scored on the 55, 62 and 78 minutes repestively.

Ankaragücü- are yet to record a win after four games picking up three defeats and one draw.
