‘I am not joining Asante Kotoko’ – Zakaria Mumuni

Ex-Aduana Stars midfielder has debunked rumours gaining grounds that he is on the verge of joining Asante Kotoko.

Zakaria Mumuni, who plays for Congolese side AS Vita Club has moved to quickly quash reports linking him to a move to the Porcupine Warriors.

The midfielder left Aduana Stars in January 2019 to join Vita Club and has been impressive in his stay with them since then.

“I don’t know where the news is coming from that I am coming to play for Kotoko,” he told Kumasi-based Light FM.

“AS Vita Club gave me a break to come and look after my wife who had just given birth so those reports are completely false.”

Meanwhile, Kotoko has reiterated that they will not be discussing their transfer issues in public until all is said and done.

They completed the signing of Black Stars goalkeeper Razak Abalora on Tuesday on a three-year contract and is looking to seal a deal with former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Frimpong.
