SIGH OF RELIEF: President Nana Akuffo Addo lifts ban on football as Ghana Premier League returns on October 30

Football will finally return after the Government of Ghana lifted the ban placed on contact sports after six months due to COVID-19.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo through his address on COVID-19 on Sunday evening announced the resumption of football.

On March 15, the Ghana Premier League, together with the Women’s League and Division One League were all truncated by the Ghana Football Association to help curb the spread of COVID-19.

The Ghana Premier League, Division One League and Women’s Premier League will kickoff on October 30.
