Kwabena Owusu’s early strike not enough as Qarabag FK pick up first defeat

Ghana’s Kwabena Owusu found the back of the net for Qarabag FK in their 1-2 home defeat to Neftçi PFK in the Azerbaijani Top-flight League.

The visitors fought back to seal a 2-1 win after Owusu gave the host an early lead.

Qarabag pounced on the first chance and grabbed the opener through Ghanaian international Kwabena Owusu to put the host infront and his first of the campaign in the 10th minute.

Vojislav Stankovic cancelled out Owusu’s opener two minutes later to put the score on level terms.

Namig Alasgarov scored what proved to the match winner in the 68th minute.

Qarabag has managed one win after three games.

The 2019/2020 Champions sit 5th on the league log with 4 points in 3 games.
