Ghanaian midfielder Solomon Mensah was in the thick of affairs for Aswan SC as they thumped Tanta 4-0 in the Egyptian Premier League on Monday evening.
The former Bechem United skipper returned from suspension to cement his place in Ahmed Abdul Monem’s set up at the Aswan Stadium.
Egyptian midfielder Ibrahim Galal powered home the opener for the host in the 33rd minute, he added his side’s second and recorded his brace four minutes later.
Mohammed Ismail made it three in the 57th minute before Mostafa El Badry put the icing on the cake with the final goal in the 90th minute.
The win sends Aswan to 9th on the log with 31 points after 27 games.
Solomon made his tenth appearance but was replaced by veteran Mohammed Rizk in the 55th minute.
