It has been reported that Hearts of Oak has moved quickly to block the exit of their young left-wing back William Denkyi from the club.
According to a media report filed by Kumasi-based Sikka FM, the 20-year-old feels sidelined after spending most of his playing time in the 2019/2020 cancelled Premier League watching proceedings from the bench, which has necessitated the action of demanding a transfer from the club.
This is due to the workaholic and marauding duties of Congolese Rady Ovouka, which has kept the former Liberty Professionals player on the bench, while he believes that a move away from the club will best suit him as he eyes a national team call-up.
The reports further revealed that even though Denkyi might not feature prominently in the plans of head coach Edward Nii Odoom, his youthful age could provide the basis for some good cash in the future from any club who comes calling for his services.
Denkyi was part of the 2019 Black Satellite squad that failed to secure gold in Egypt.
In other news, Hearts are reported to be tracking ex-Asante Kotoko left-back Eric Donkor who has mutually parted ways with Obuasi-based Ashanti Gold after a two-year stay with the club.
