Aduana Stars to coerce Kotoko for Osman Ibrahim

Dormaa-based Aduana Stars is reportedly interested in Asante Kotoko’s young attacker Osman Ibrahim and are believed to be readying a bid in swoop for his services.

According to multiple sources in the media, Aduana is likely to present a bid to the Porcupine Warriors this week asking for the availability of Osman to join the ‘Ogya‘ club in a loan deal with an option for a permanent deal.

Osman Ibrahim

The 2009 Ghana Premier League winners are looking at quickly replacing their top marksman Yahaya Mohammed who is on the verge of joining Obuasi-based Ashanti Gold ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

For experience and enough game time, Osman was shipped out on loan to fellow Premier League side and city rivals King Faisal and ended up registering double figures in goals as he scored eight goals in the cancelled 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League and in total contributed to 13 goals in 15 games in all competition – 10 goals and three assists.

With his numbers, it looks certain the youngster is likely to command a starting role come next season but the club’s shortlisted transfer targets indicate Osman might not feature prominently in the plans of head coach Maxwell Konadu as he eyes a respectable spot in the CAF Champions League next season.

It is with this situation Aduana are willing to raid the camp of Asante Kotoko secure the services of Osman Ibrahim to their fold.
