German Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 has confirmed they have transferred Ghanaian Bernard Tekpetey to Bulgarian giant PFC Ludogorets Razgrad on a two-year loan deal.
The former SC Paderborn attacker passed his mandatory medicals on Thursday morning and subsequently put pen to paper which will see him spend the next 24 months with The Eagles.
According to sources, Schalke has no future plans for the Ghanaian and included an option to purchase if they wish to make his deal permanent.
Bernard, 22, spent last season on loan with newly-promoted side Fortuna Düsseldorf but only made nine appearances in the Bundesliga.
With Fortuna relegated to Bundesliga 2, Tekpetey made it clear to the top hierarchy he was unwilling to honour the remaining one-year loan which made the Bulgarian club take advantage of a looming rift to snap him up.
