Most of them have been regarded as the failure to the success of most footballers across the world with African being the hot spot but are also the channel to through which footballers land themselves good and lucrative deals overseas.
Football Intermediary play a major role as they serve as the link between the player and the club as most also act as the direct agent between the player and the club seeking the services of the player.
The quest of talented footballers seeking to continue their trade outside the shores of Africa often fails due to the negligence of some individuals who perpetrate themselves as Football Agents or Intermediaries but rather mere individuals who intend to dupe these young footballers of their monies. The dream of playing professional football is thrown into dismay as they are either sent to deprived countries so they become stranded or sent to clubs which they have no idea of as compared to what they were initially told of.
The last few years has seen footballers learnt a lesson from falling a victim of such circumstances and this has seen most being linked to renowned and accredited FIFA Agents and Football Intermediaries.
Ghana can boast of Ex- football Yussif Chibsah who is the CEO of African Club Consult, a football agency and also doubles as the intermediary for Majeed Warris, Reuben Ayarna, and Daniel Amartey among others.
Another who can’t be left out is Oliver Arthur who acts as the intermediary for Ghana footballer Afriyie Acquah and other renowned footballers.
Freebody Appiah is one of Ghana’s hardworking football intermediaries who works with Paramount Football Agency also has the services of Ghana international Joseph Attamah Larweh and Joseph Mensah who play in Turkey and Israel respectively.
Of course all can’t be said without the mention of one of Ghana’s fast rising football agents and intermediaries David Ofori Robertson who is the CEO of registered entity I-sam Empire.
The young man also runs a football academy named I-sam Soccer Academy is also into player management and scouting where he has established good cordial links with top agencies across the world due his love and passion for the game.
Barely two years, has I-sam already transferred over five players outside the shores of Ghana who were doing well with their respective clubs before the Coronavirus pandemic
Issac Abban, formerly of Nzema Kotoko, Okwuchukwu Valentine, formerly of Malabo United FC and Daniel Mintah Akyena formerly Ga Adangme Fc are all doing with FK Radnicki Pirot in the second-tier of Serbian First League, same club that features Ex-Hearts of Oak player Joseph Owusu Bempah.
Another to move once the borders are opened is Ex- Afienya United player Nathaniel Wordie as he is wanted by top Polish clubs.
The story does not end there as preparations are underway to transfer another batch of footballers outside Ghana once the borders are opened.
The young football entrepreneur has a lot to offer Ghanaian football in the coming years as his football academy is here to serve and nurture young talents and prepare them for the international market and also serve the nation at the youth levels.
Plans are underway to schedule a new date for a football tournament to scout talents for agents who will be touching down once the ban on football activities is lifted.
Mr David Ofori Robertson has this for Ghanaian as he wants to set the pace for footballers in Ghana.
‘’Most footballers have fall into the hands of wrong football agents and intermediaries but with I-sam Empire, you are rest assured as we deal with the cub directly’’
‘’We are also into the preparations of travelling tickets and also booking of flights”
‘’I-Sam, we are here to stay and promote Ghana football”
