Ex-Ghana Black Stars midfielder has advised Thomas Partey to desist from joining English Premier League Arsenal.
Boateng revealed that joining Arsenal will be a wrong move considering the fact that Arsenal has failed to secure Champions League qualifications for the past seasons.
The former Fulham FC player who represented Ghana from 2001 -2003 believes Partey deserves more than Arsenal in his football career.
The combative midfielder is regarded as one of the best in the world and a summer move from the Wanda Metropolitan to the Emirates could be finalized at the end of the season as he has been on the list of Arsenal.
“He needs to be at a place where he will be happy, respected and get a lot of playing time. You can make all the money you want but if the coach doesn’t play you, you won’t be happy,” Boateng said in an interview with Joy FM
He added; “I will not advise him to move to Arsenal right now because he is a Champions League player and with the look of the Arsenal team right now, they are not ready with the kind of players they have and some are going to move.”
“They are playing very well but you can see the inexperience hurting them and with the way the Premier League is going right now, it is going to be really tough. If he wants to move, he has to move to a team that plays in the Champions League otherwise he will lose everything.”
Partey is currently one of the highly-rated combative midfielders in world football following his exploits in the Spanish La Liga with Atletico Madrid.
Partey has made a total of 125 appearances scoring 11 goals for the LaLiga outfit.
