Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold Sc will have the node to represent Ghana in the next edition of the CAF Inter-Club Competitions.
This was disclosed by the Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum in an interview this evening with Accra based Angel FM.
This came as a final decision taken by the Executive Committee after they met in a meeting earlier today to cancel the 2019/2020 season.
The Ghana Premier League will no longer continue due to the Coronavirus and as a result Kotoko who last represented in the Caf Champions League after winning the NC Tier 1 Competition with Ashanti Gold also winning the NC Tier 2 Competition to represent in the Confederations Cup have all been given the green light to do same in the next edition.
“The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has taken a decision to cancel the 2019/2020 football season following a marathon meeting on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at the GFA Secretariat in Accra. Details soon,” a GFA statement said today.
