Former France international and Chelsea star Marcel Desailly believes Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew is ripe to consider a move to giants Chelsea.
Ayew is enjoying the form of his life netting 9 goals for the Eagles and also achieving the accolade as Ghana’s all time-top scorer in the English Premier League.
The record which was previously held by Ex-Ghana and Leeds United forward Tony Yeboah where he scored 24 goals in his two seasons he spent with Leeds United from 1995-1997 in 47 appearances has been surpassed by Jordan Ayew who scored his 25th goal against Bournemouth last weekend in his 131 Premier League appearances.
However the 1998 World Cup Winner believes Jordan will him attain higher heights and achieve more in his career should he join Chelsea.
“It’s time for him. He’s 28 years old now and he has reached a very high level, as well as being quite consistent in his performances,” Marcel Desailly told FootballmadeinGhana.com.
“We need him to have more hunger. We want him to become a killer. You can see in his face that he is not really a killer, but he is showing great ability, and being at Chelsea can bring him to the level that we all know that he can get to because he is a very good player.
Palace lies eleventh on the league log with 42 points after 32 games.
