Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew has written his name in the annals of history after his goal against AFC Bournemouth makes him the highest Ghanaian scorer in the Premier League.
Ayew, 28, scored the second goal of the game on the 23rd minute after captain Luka Milivojevic had given the travellers the lead 11 minutes earlier following a beautiful free-kick.
His goal at the Vitality Stadium pegs him at 25 since making his debut for Aston Villa in 2015 – surpassing Tony Yeboah who raked in 24 goals for Leeds United during his three-year stay with the club in the 1990s.
He has in addition scored in three successive games for the Eagles in the Premier League and has a total of nine goals with one assist from 29 appearances.
Nonetheless, it took Tony 47 games to chop such feat while Jordan had to emerge as Ghana’s top scorer in the EPL on his 129th game.
