Coach Samuel Boadu touts the qualities of his striker Prince Opoku Agyemang

According to Medeama SC head coach, Samuel Boadu, his striker Prince Opoku Agyemang stood tall among the rest of the Premier League players prior to the suspension of the 2019/2020 Premier League season.

The national youth team coach claims the centre forward, without a shred of doubt, is the best player in the league.

Prince Opoku, who joined the Mauves and Yellow club prior to the start of the season from New Edubiase has found the back of the net 10 times in 14 appearances.

According to Samuel Boadu, his adaption in the elite division has been remarkable and is, in addition, a fast learner which makes him the best among the rest.

“I will say our striker Prince Opoku Agyemang,” Samuel Boadu told Kumasi-based Wontumi FM.

“The reason is I took him from Division One [New Edubiase] and he has been very clever with the way he has adapted to the Premier League in his first season.

“And aside him being a goal scorer, he also holds the ball and dribbles wells too”

“Someone will argue with Victorien Adebayor, but he has been consistent in the league in almost 2 to 3 years.

“So for ‘Abedi’ Prince to compete with Adebayor and Yahaya Mohammed for goal king then I believe he’s a great player and deserves the best player in the Ghana league,” he said.

Prince Opoku is rumoured to be on the verge of joining South African side Ajax Cape Town in a loan deal with an option to buy and is believed to have reached personal agreement and concluded paperwork, waiting to receive the green light in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic before joining them.
