Renovations at the Baba Yara Stadium is steadily progressing since its closure in February this year due to the deplorable nature the facility has turned into because of the frequent usage by Premier League and lower division clubs, as well as commercial users.
Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon Isaac Kwame Asiamah, paid a surprise visit to inspect the progress of work at the venue on Monday, and was impressed with the rate of work according to reports.
Works at the Baba Yara Stadium is scheduled to be completed in October this year.
This is in preparation towards Ghana’s hosing right for the 2023 All African Games, which the ministry is seeking to complete all works ahead of time.
