1899 Hoffenheim defender, Kasim Adams Nuhu, believes a move from the Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid to Arsenal in the Premier League for his friend Thomas Teye Partey will be a step in the right direction in his career projection.
Partey, 26, has been on the front page of almost all major news tabloids in Europe on a purported move to play for the Gunners in arguably the best league in the world.
According to reports, Atletico is looking to swerve the North London club by exchanging Partey with Liverpool midfielder Oxlade Chamberlain in a player plus cash deal, but the former Mallorca loanee has indicated to his agent he favours a move to Arsenal.
“Atletico Madrid is a very good club so he is playing one of the biggest clubs in the world and Arsenal is also one of the biggest,” Nuhu told TV3 in a live Instagram conversation anchored by Juliet Bawuah.
“For me, it is his decision because playing in Atletico Madrid is the same as playing in Arsenal.
“The two teams always make the same category in the league fighting for the 3rd and 4th place to play in Champions League but as we all know the Premiership is the best league in the world so if he joins Arsenal, I will be happy for him.”
Kasim, who is on loan to Bundesliga side Fortüna Dusseldorf provided his support to his best friend saying he will offer his blessings on wherever he decides to land.
“He has been my friend for very long time and anything he does or choose we will support him and we will pray for him do that he will make us proud,” he added.
French League 1 side PSG is reported to have made enquiry on the possibility of securing the services of the Ghanaian and is up for a bidding war against Arsenal.
