Villareal midfielder, Emmanuel Lomotey, has added his voice to the long-unending debate between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi on who is the best and claims the latter stand tall if he is asked to choose between them.
These two players have stayed at the pinnacle of their career for more than a decade in European football and in addition share 11 Balon D’or awards between them. The debate continues to linger as coaches, former players and astute journalist have all joined in with diverse opinions, on who, to them, is the best player.
However, Lomotey, who is playing on loan with Segunda B Division with Extremadura has revealed Messi is an exceptional player who comes in with unmeasurable football qualities which far outweighs every out-field player in the world currently – describing him as ‘football God’.
The 22-year-old disclosed he dreams of playing for Barcelona and will grab such opportunity with all hands such opportunity avail itself.
“I want to play at the Camp Nou,” Lomotey told Kumasi FM.
“Barcelona is my dream club and playing for them will be a very happy moment in my life because it is the club I support and I know it will happen one day,” he added.
“Ronaldo and Messi are two great and extraordinary players, they are the best players in the world at the moment.
“I will go for Messi. He is a God. He’s the best player in the world now,” Lomotey confidently chose.
The former Dreams FC midfielder made 15 appearances for Extremadura, starting 13 of them scoring one goal in the process in the suspended Segunda B league.
