Asante Kotoko is once again in the transfer market and looking to augment their squad as they chase Bechem United midfield gem Moro Salifu.
The Porcupine Warriors have been busy during this second transfer window in search of players to beef up the team before the second round of the Ghana Premier League begins.
According to sources, the management of the club has given a thumps to go chase Salifu after head coach Maxwell Konadu successfully convinced them why he will need him in his set-up come second round.
Konadu is counting on the experience of the former Under-23 player who has featured for Tarkwa-based Medeama SC in 2018.
Salifu, who had a short stint with Ivorian side Academie de Football Amadou Diallo (AFAD) after swerving ASEC Mimosas and ES Setif in March 2019 has made 14 appearances and scored two goals in the league – coming against Inter Allies and Liberty Professional.
In addition, Kotoko is on the verge of completing a three-year deal with Nkoranza Warriors captain Emmanuel Sarkodie.
However, General Manager of the club Nana Gyambibi Cooker has said the club will not be making wholesale purchases as done in previous administration but rather strategic signings.
