Elmina Sharks extended their unbeaten run to five after an impressive performance on Saturday defeating Liberty Professionals 3-1 on Match Day 13 of the Ghana Premier League at the Nduom Stadium.
An outstanding output from Coach Yaw Acheampong and his lads earned them two goals at the first department of the game.
Sharks took an early lead on the 8th minutes through Benjamin Tweneboah after scoring from close range to put the home side ahead.
Liberty responded with good chances in search of the equalizer but failed to make this chances count.
Skipper Michael Ampadu came close with a decent free kick which went into the arms of Sharks goalkeeper with ease.
George Amoako made way for Abass Nuhu on the 34th minute as Liberty effected their first change.
Benjamin Tweneboah announced his presence once more with a decent cross which was well connected by Alhaji Mustapha register his name on the score sheet and grab the second for his side on the 39th minute to end the first half with a comfortable 2 goals advantage.
Back from recess, Sharks continued to mount pressure on the visitors and with six minutes into the second half, their efforts paid off through Augustine Owusu who scored from a header to extend the tally to 3.
Mubarak Alhassan pulled one back for Liberty with 23 minutes to end the game but was not enough as they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Elmina Sharks.
