After thrashing Inter Allies 3-0 in the MTN FA Cup, Legon Cities were looking to continue with their winning streak against Eleven Wonders on Match Day 12 at the Accra Sports Stadium but the game ended in a goalless draw on Saturday evening.
The away side strike first on the 1st minute but shot went wide as goalkeeper Fatau Dauda put up a great save to deny Wonders the opener on the 5th minute.
Centre man Eso Morrison allowed play to continue after Cephas Doku’s effort was handled by Wonders in the penalty box on the 12th minute.
Legion Cities effected an early change on the 21st minute to bring on Winfred Honu for the injured Fatau Dauda.
Wonders goalie John Moosie pushed away Cephas Doku’s strike on the 30th minute to deny his the opener.
Mornah Sadat made way for Kwayie Simins on the 34th minute as Wonders made their first change.
Fresh blood Winfred Selorm went the right way to deny Wonders a goal in the dying embers of the first half.
The home side dominated the early stages of the second halfIn the second half as they soaked on pressure for the deadlock.
Jabila Abdulkarim of Legon Cities missed a glorious chance by inches which could have been the match winner with 7 minutes to end the game.
The game failed to produce a goal as both sides shared a point at peace after an additional 3 minutes.
