Match Report: Karela United 0-0 Hearts of Oak-Phobian boys snatch vital point on away soil

The Rainbow Boys after the hard earned victory over Bechem United last weekend hoped to continue with their winning streak as they traveled to face Karela United at the Akoon Park on Match Day 11.

The Phobians were the first to send a signal to Karela after Joseph Esso saw his strike saved by goalkeeper Isaac Hgan on the 5th minute.

Hearts came close again through Kofi Kordzi as his header went wide after Raddy Ovouka sent in a cross on the 12th minute.

Sweet inter-play by the Phobians as the ball fell to Emmanuel Nettey’s but his effort went wide on the 20th minute.

Emmanuel Keyekeh of Karela United was booked on the 25th minute after a late challenge on Raddy Ovouka.

Both sides failed to get a goal after an additional 2 minutes as the first half ended barren despite the visitors enjoying the lion share of possession.

Karela effected their first change on the 51st minute as Kwame Boateng came on for Samuel Ofori.

Frederick Ansah made way for Umar Manaf as Hearts made their first change on the 60th minute.

Goalkeeper Isaac Hagan saved a deflected shot to keep Karela in the game as Hearts came close.

 Dominic Eshun came on for Kofi Kordzi with 15 minutes to end proceedings.

First booking went to Benjamin Agyare of Hearts after a bad tackle on the 76th minute.

Kofi Darlington and Diawise Taylor came close to get a goal for Karela but both saw their efforts went over the post.

With 10 minutes to go, Daniel Afriyie with a good effort to give Hearts the much needed goal but Isaac Hagan came to the rescue of Karela once again.

Emmnauel Nettey received a late yellow card.

After a battling display ended in a goalless as the Phobians snatch a point on away soil.
