League leaders Ashanti Gold take on Dawu-based Dreams FC at the Len Clay Park in Obuasi as they seek to solidify their top spot in race for the league title.
The Miners are joint top leaders on the league table with Asante Kotoko, having 18 points apiece after 10 matches.
To make it possible, a win against crocked Dreams needs to cook and served at the Len Clay Park hoping Kotoko falter far away in Dormaa.
Not many battles can be recorded between the two teams but the three (3) matches played since 2016 shows equal strength with one (1) win each and one game ending in a stalemate, and in addition two goals to either side.
At home, Ashanti Gold have remained resolute and strong – picking 12 points from a possible 15 in four (4) wins and one (1) defeat.
They have impressively conceded only one (1) goal and netted seven (7).
Dreams will be hoping to be second time lucky after picking win in their first-ever Premier League meeting in Obuasi in 2016 where they won by a goal to nothing courtesy a 45th-minute strike from Emmanuel Hayford.
On the road, Dreams have picked seven (7) points from a 15 in two (2) victories, two (2) defeats and a draw in their last five matches – scoring four (4) and conceding four (4).
Despite severing ties with their Turkish coach Kasim Gokyildiz and a host of other issues ensuring between their financier Dr Kwaku Frimpong and the supporters, Ashanti Gold are bent on not being swayed away with three points up for grabs.
