Aduana Stars goal-monger, Yahaya Mohammed, has finally admitted being put under huge pressure due to the performance of Nigerien import Victorien Adebayor.
Adebayor has set this season’s Premier League ablaze with his scintillating display for Inter Allies since joining them in 2017 – netting 10 goals from nine matches, capping it with a stunning strike against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.
Yahaya, before Liberty’s encounter had eight goals on the goal king chart – two adrift of Adebayor, but managed to score a brace on Sunday to go on level pegging even though Aduana lost 5-2.
The former Tema Youth player believes despite going neck-to-neck in race for the goal king, it serves as a healthy challenge to stay mentally focus and perhaps play above himself to be crowned goal king and further help the ‘Ogya Lads’ claim the Premier League trophy for a third time.
