Inter Allies were held to a 1-1 draw by Legon Cities in Match Day 9 of the Ghana Premier League on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The home side were looking to continue their winning streak after the demolishing of Techiman IX Wonder in midweek.
Inter Allies started brightly as the side to create most of the scoring opportunities.
Their efforts was paid off through prolific striker Victorien Adebayor who broke the deadlock on the 15th minute through a spot kick after Desmond Abuga was brought down in the penalty box.
His eight goal of the the campaign.
Inter Allies looked to increase the tally but failed to capitalize on the chances created to end the first half with a goal advantage.
But the second half was a different story as Legon Cities started probing and asking the Allies’ back line some serious questions with fearsome attacks.
Inter Allies made their first change as Richmond Lamptey made way for Mohammed Zakari on the 55th minute.
The visitors pushed more men forward as they effected double substituition as Daniel Oppong and Yakubu Mohammed were replaced by Maxwell Oppong and Fadili Yussif on the 60th.
Their persistence paid of when Jabila Abdul Karim restored parity in the second half courtesy of a penalty this time in favor of the visitors.
Alex Aso and Samuel Armah came off for Michael Gyamerah and Felix Abuga on the 85th minute.
Both sides kept on pushing for a late winner but in the end a draw was probably the most outcome.
