A ruthless Elmina Sharks had no mercy on Dawu-based Dreams FC as they torn them into shreds at the Nduom Sports Stadium by 5-1 on match day 8 of the NC Special Competition.
The only element Dreams could delight themselves with is being the only club so far to have managed to place a ball behind their net – breaking their seven games without conceding a goal.
In the first half, Emmanuel Addington and diminutive winger Benjamin Tweneboah combined to give the host a two-goal lead before retiring to the dressing room for a short break.
Benjamin Owusu made it 3-0 after the break before Muntari Kamaheni pulled one back for travelling Dreams FC.
Sharks rose up once again to pounce on an already depleted Dreams side to wade off any possibility of coming back to draw level, with two additional goals from Tweneboah and Benjamin Boateng to peg the tie at 5-1.
Sharks after the win are placed third on the league log with 14 points, whiles Dreams are left seventh with six points.
