In-form Rashid Sumaila grabs second Man of the Match award as Al Qadsia shared spoils with Kuwait FC

In-form Ghanaian centre Rashid Sumaila grabbed his second Man of the Match Award as he put up a scintillating best for Al Qadsia SC in their (1-1) draw at home against league leaders Al Kuwait in the Kuwaiti VIVA League on Friday.

The consistent centre back enjoyed full throttle for his side as he displayed an excellent performance at the heart of defence to deny league leaders Kuwaiti FC all three points.

Kuwait FC were optimistic of extending their lead on the league as second placed Al Qadsia needed a win to close the gap.

Al Qadsia SC broke the deadlock on the 6th minute through Brazilian forward Lucas Gaucho.

The visitors came close through a spot kick but missed it on the 25th minute to end the first half.

Malian International Sissoko grabbed the equaliser on the 54th to draw level.

Al Qadsia lie second with 8 points from 4 games.

They travel away to face in their next game.
