The visitors broke the deadlock on the 30th minute through Angolan forward Yano after missing series of scoring opportunities.
Petro went into the break with a goal advantage.
Individual brilliance from skipper Tony on the 60th minute increased the tally for the visitors which happened to be his last touch.
Ex-Hearts of Oak man Isaac Mensah replaced Tony on the 63rd minute as the dazzling winger announced his presence providing an assist which led to the third goal as Yano grabbed his brace on the 90th minute.
Petro de Luanda lie behind lead leaders De Agosto with 16 points from 9 games played.
They host Bravos do Maquis in their next encounter.
