Head coach of Zesco United, George Lwandamina, has bemoan lack of concentration on the part of his defenders which led to their 2-1 defeat to Asante Kotoko.
Zesco conceded an early goal on the ninth minute through Kwame Bonsu before Emmanuel Gyamfi added his name on the score sheet on the 28th minute. Substitute Rahim Osumanu however reduced the deficit 16 minutes to full time.
Lwandamina, who is not a happy man expressed his disappointment over what he claimed as silly and avoidable mistakes in the opening 30 minutes of the game.
“We came into the game to write history. We played good game but unfortunately we missed the chances which we could have scored. We made silly mistakes at the back and Kotoko capitalized to carry the day,” George Lwandamina said.
“I know they’ve won the game. But if we were lucky to have score the chances we created, we would’ve have won the game,” he ended.
Zesco will play Al Hilal of Sudan in their next game, while Nkana host Kotoko in the other fixture.
