James Kwesi Appiah, head coach of Ghana Black Stars has released a 23-man squad for the doubleheader between South Africa and Sao Tome in the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ghana will lock horns with South Africa on Thursday 14th November, 2019 at the Cape Coast Stadium, before playing as guests to São Tomé and Príncipe on Monday 18th November.
Former Hearts of Oak forward Torric Jibril, Spain based duo Iddrisu Baba and Mohammed Salisu, as well as German based Christopher Antwi Adjei are the debutants.
Skipper Andre Ayew, Mubarak Wakaso, Jordan Ayew, Richard Ofori, Felix Annan and Andy Yiadom, who were all integral members of the team that featured in the 2019 Egypt AFCON the squad with Harrison Afful staging a return after injury left him out of the squad.
The team will commence training in Cape Coast on Monday 11 November.
Group C comprises of Sudan, South Africa, Sao Tome along side Ghana all vying to book a spot in Cameroon 2021.
